Overview

Swells on water contact. Permanent joint seal.

Hydrophilic Waterstop is a hydrophilic rubber waterstop strip installed in concrete construction joints. On contact with water, the rubber compound swells 200–400% by volume, applying compressive pressure against the joint surfaces to create a permanent watertight seal.

Specified for cold joints, pour-and-stop construction sequences, and pipe penetrations where conventional dumbbell-style PVC waterstops cannot be cast in.

Key Features

  • Swells 200–400% on water contact
  • Self-sealing – accommodates joint imperfections
  • Fast and simple installation – adhesive or mechanical fix
  • Suitable for static and lightly dynamic joints
  • Resistant to fresh water, sea water, and most chemicals
  • Available in multiple cross-sections for different joint widths
