Overview

Random fibre. Multi-directional strength.

Chopped Strand Mat is E-glass fibre chopped into 50 mm lengths and bound into a random non-woven mat by emulsion or powder binder. Hand lay-up grade dissolves readily in polyester and vinyl ester resin, allowing the mat to conform to complex shapes.

The primary reinforcement for hand lay-up GRP tank lining and pool construction. Used in combination with woven roving for higher-strength laminates.
